Well i can finally say i drove a Mav/Comet for the first time tonight.Everything seems to work good. The clutch cable assembly is all homemade and works very well. The headman headers fit perfect, cut the shifter hole where the factory marks were and it fit right in,made my own crossmember and used a 5.0 mustang drive shaft and it fit right in.All i can say is this was not an easy swap i learned alot in the process, but this has been a very rockey road to this point. If any car has tried my patience it has been this one.Derek.:evilsmile

Cool! What year Mustang did you get the drive shaft from? This is something I will do sooner or later.

The 302 is just mild,it's a realitively stock 1991 5.0 stang engine witha ford racing b303 cam, performer rpm intake, and a 650 dp holley.I didn't really get on it because of the new clutch, and new posi clutches want to break them in,also the car was assembled from an empty shell and i want to check eveything before getting too crazy. The driveshaft is out of a fox body stang 1979-1993,i just removed the 4 bolt mounting flange so i could bolt it up useing u bolts instead.

Congratulations on your accomplishment! I know the feeling of FINALLY getting to drive something you've been slaving over for a while. I'm like Will, I've had mine for some time now and have only gotten to drive it 5-6 times, but that first one was the best! (y)

btw, what's up with those un-related links in your text?
