here is some pics of the installed 300 in my 68 mustang(I know,Iknow its not a maverick)but close enought.its 11to1 solid cam .I decked the block and use off the shelf 327 chevy pistons, had to get the rods pin holes reworked for them.big block chevy roller rockers work ,cliffored 1 3/4 drag header(I dont know if they make them any more?)I'm here to help .1/4 mile time first time out 11.80@ 113mph with a 100 shot of nitrous, drove it to the track and drove home with slicks on.I fit 28x10.5 mt in there but i had new main leafs made with relocated locating pis for the rear end, moved the rear end back 3/4in the tires were almost touching the rocker on one side i would think a maverick may be similar?

Welcome to the board. I am sure your input on the use of a 300 would be useful here. Be careful, if you hang around in here too much you will end up with a maverick yourself. Maverick fever is highly contagious! I hope to see some more of that stang. Maybe a video?
