3" dual exhaust?

    with an stock engine (Hookers incl.). What happen? Does I loose higher rpm? Or the fuel economy :wave: or some thing else more...?

    You lose backpressure and look kinda stupid.

    Stock motors sound like crap through three inch pipes.

    No offense meant, but a 3' single would still look pretty goofy. :)

    Uncle has 3's on his falcon put in a silecer to quiet it out way to loud on a 6 imagine it on a V8 their also way to big for a mav

    funny thing is thats what your "riceburners" say about v8 people. i have 2.25 inch exhaust on my mazda, it looks cool, sounds cool, and gives extra power (been dyno'ed on someone elses car)

    have ya seen the size of some flowmasters? they like bigger then my engine! but yea, some coffee cans are pretty dumb sometimes, though they sound hot on a WRX (sounds like a harley)

    I love the sound of my 3" duals. I put the patriot side pipe on, I may have lost a little (something, fill in the blank) but it really fits the 70s style of my car and sounds great. Just two big glasspacks right under my windows...

    I will never go to anything else but sidepipes.

    i have 2 1/4 pipes.....looks good and sounds good..but the higher you go the less back pressure and you will lose performance...

    at least thats what i heard..

    iwill let you know i am putting 3" exhaust on my maverick theyare coming with the car and are brand new so why not?

    I don't like the Rice Rocket sound (go kart on steroids), a loppy 8 is SOOO much cooler. and flows enough to need a big pipe.

    I have 2 or 2 1/4 duals with H-pipe, full length headers, thrush boss turbos, and 2 1/2 turn down tips.

    really good system imo

    would like to go to 71" sidepipes with H-pipe, if i can ever come up with that much cash.
