I know I'm bad, still haven't posted any pics. but hey, I'm just a photographer so you can't expect much from me. LOL

Anyway I found my miss problem. this car has sat for over 18 years the valves had stuck and when it was cranked it bent the push rods. ( all done before I got it) My uncle removed the head, replaced valve stem seals and unstuck valves. he also replaced several push rods but I guess he ran out. anyway my search for push rods has been a bit depressing. several local parts stores either had no number at all for them or had a number but were out of stock and there listing said they couldn't be ordered. Rock auto listed them on their site and I ordered them I was called back yesterday and told they didn't have them and the manufacturer was also out of stock. well napa local stores didn't have them but they were able to get 12 from various locations and are having them shipped to me.

Sorry for the long story but are they now stopping making parts for the 250?

Mine was a similar story to yours, it bent the push rods after sitting for a long time.

This isn't required, but I went ahead and put new lifters and valve seals in, and re-lapped the valves while I was at it. I got all 12 new push rods at Auto Zone, they had to special order them and it took 4 days to get them. They were more like 19.98 a pack when ordering them in the store. Not sure why they have such a cheap price on their website. :hmmm:

Other then a slight miss-fire at idel, the car has been running pretty much flawlessly for 1,700 miles now.
