OK, y'all! The Heart of Texas Mustang Club is having their annual Mustangs All Ford Roundup again. I've waited to confirm the date with their website: Saturday October 16th. We had fun last year, let's do it again! (Note Robert's Red Comet and my yellow GT are in the 2nd picture on the website listed above).

Who thinks thy can make it? If we can get some commitment out of y'all the Mustang club will provide a Maverick/Comet class and give us our own Maverick/Comet awards. I haven't commited us yet, but if I get enough names, I will get in touch with their Reps.

    What do y'all think?

Please e-mail or call me so I can get them a head count soon!

Well, it looks like its going to be just you and me, Will! :(

Actually Tomm called me and said he would drive over to the show, so that makes three, but only one car when I bring one.

I know there are more Texans out there!

    (Thanks for replying, Will).

Glad to hear from you all! (y)

Robert: Just let me know. It would be great to see you again!

Fan2488: You are welcome to come without a Maverick. Bring us your pictures. It's a fun show even without the Mavericks! We would like to meet you!

Fan2488 said his car wouldn't be finished by then, that trip to Waco would probadly finish mine permantly! It is starting to feel the 205000 miles, I still drive it to work (32 miles round trip) @ 3 times a week but Waco might be pushing it!

I am interested in coming but cannot confirm my schedule until closer to event time. I will be in Biloxi the previous weekend for Cruising the Coast. If I dont lose to much money at the casino, I just might make it to Waco.

Well, it looks like one Maverick and maybe one Comet. Are you all still planning on going to Waco in two weeks?

(19Mav73: I can get you a much better map).

We could just meet in Austin---at least we would see a few more cars. :D lol

Give me directions from Houston (Angleton). I need to take my Mav for a long drive to gain trust in her abilities...And mid-October should have good weather for a nice 4 hour drive.

scooper77515 It sure would be nice to have you!

Here's a map from Angleton to Waco. Looks like you would take Hwy 288 to I-45. When you get to exit 189 you would exit I-45 and go left on Hwy 179. Take it 7 or 8 miles to Teague, TX where you can pick up Hwy 84. Hwy 84 goes all the way to Waco. (Looks like about 250 miles).

I will post some better maps of the local Waco area later.

OK, where in Waco do we meet. I know it is a fairly small town, but I don't think I will drive around looking for 5 guys, a mav, and a comet in a parking lot.

I think I can make the 250 miles. Just better bring along a hammer and duct tape. Maybe a screwdriver. Should be able to fix anything along the way with those on board.

Here's a pretty good map on the Ford dealer's webpage. (You can zoom in and out to see more details): MAP

Tomm: I will be coming straight up I-35. We can meet, that sounds great!

Here are more details on the car show again: CAR SHOW DETAILS
