im going to purchase a 250ci with a 2bb carb from a 72 mav for my stock 200ci 71 mav.. i was wondering what part(s) do i exactly need to make this installation a success.?
We're doing this swap now. Here's a partial list, what I can remember at this moment. I'm sure there might be other stuff I've forgotten. bellhousing shift linkage throttle hookup fan (the 250 water pump has a larger shaft) radiator motor mounts and brackets Rhonda
im buying the whole motor with all belts n pulley.. what throttle hookup do i need.? where could i get a bell housing.? do the motor mounts from the 200ci work 4 the 250ci .?
I was able to pull the exhaust up. Didn't think it was going to, though. The motor mounts and brackets will NOT work, you need the ones from a 250. The bellhousing is the same as the one on a 302, I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Rhonda
I forgot, I did not put the air conditioning stuff back on it. The brackets from the 200 don't line up with the 250. It may be it can be done with the same stuff, I've just never done this before, so when it didn't line up, I just opted to leave it off for now. Rhonda
