I have a bit of a problem. My wipers are stuck in the upmost position. I went to turn them no and they turned on just like normal.....went to there peak and just stopped moving. I haven't tested the switch yet. But i think it might be the problem. I have looked at the switch and to me (a novice with wiring and switches it looks fine). But I'm not 100% sure how these ones work. Does the switch control both the up and down motion of the wipers?. Or does it just turn on the wipers and regulate the speed?. When I have the wiper switchturned i can hear the motors try to move. I do have pictures of the switch as well so if those will be helpfull tell me and I can attach them to another post.

and lastly, if i do need to replace the switch, are they hard to find?. Or can i just order them from ford...... or an after market company. are there any other sloutions.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The wipers have what is called a park circuit that energizes them then "parks" them in the lower position after turning off the switch. I've seen your problem caused by bad switches and bad motors. The switch is easier and cheaper to replace.
