    Would the 87 cougar 5.0 be a flat tappet cam, roller cam or HO roller motor?:hmmm:

    According to the book I have it should be a roller block. Roller blocks will take any type of lifter, the non- roller blocks won't take roller lifters unless you get a reduced circle base cam or special retro roller lifters.

    thanks thomas, I found some info indicating that it was a 150hp motor which appears to indicate it is not an HO motor, correct?
