Hey anyone have an original, in good shape air cleaner lid for a 302? It has to be the larger lid type though. I was looking for the decal number that is located in the lower left corner where it says Ford in the blue field.
I found out the hard way that no one reproduces this decal. All the ones out there are for the smaller lid type. Anyway if someone has that number that'd be great--I think the number is:
    D20F-9C611-BB
Is that a zero or an O? and are all the letters in Capitals?
Thanks in advance for any info.
    Semper Fi!

Many years ago I ordered a decal kit for a 1972 Mustang. It had the large air cleaner lid decal that I did not use. Would this help any?

I have one, it's the long one, it came from National Parts Depot p/n: D65. You'll have a hard time finding one with the exact Ford part number in the corner.
I tried to post a pic, but Photo Bucket isn't working, I'll keep trying.

No its a stock lid. Guessing Ford was using up some items or they were putting two different types on or something- does the smaller lid design fit on the same air cleaner base?
Anyway Here is the final scoop--I found a large lid on the internet and sent to Osborne Reproductions--In all the parts books they are only listing the smaller lid decal. They do make the decal for the larger lid.
The part number with Osborn's (large lid) is DF253, the # on the decal is D20F-9C611-BA
    It all looks complete now!
That monkey is off my back now! lol

Your air cleaner looks like the 73-74 style, with a 72 snorkel....different..in all the years I've been buying and selling, I've never seen them mismatched like that.

What were they putting on the Torino's, Mustang's and or the Ranchero's when opted with a 302? Ive never seen or searched. Osborne's told me it was from a list of lid sizes for those vehicles. Maybe because mine was a grabber with a 302 they ran it down a line that had been running another car type prior . . . who knows. The guy who owned it before me said there were no modifications or changes done prior and during when he owned it. Odd isn't it. I just say, leave it to Ford. lol

PS The new decal really completes the under the hood look! Thanks for everyone's assistance!
