    Hello to the members...

I'm Ken Rohling, an I have a 1970 maverick I need to put up for sale. It was my grandma's car, no kidding. I bought it from her estate in 1991, after a station wagon took her out while crossing the street. I ran it 3 times, last time was in 1994, and it has been garaged since. After a long and nasty divorce, I got it back, 4 1/2 years later. Now, I find myself in a position where I need to sell it. :-(

It's the 6cyl auto, has 23,000 original miles, all factory original. The plastic wrappers are STILL on the seatbelts in the back seat.

    Pics are posted at:

    and

I need to know what's the most I could expect from this, and I'll be at 518.495.2915 . I know phones are old fashioned, but they're still quicker.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Wow...looks like a really nice car for original. And I have to say that is the 1st roof I have seen with that material.
Looks like a car that probably needs to be kept original. Not a tremendous amount of value in a 6 cyl car unless you just happen to find a buyer specifically looking for that type of car. Probably 98% of the Mavericks owned by the people on this message board are modified to some extent or another. I'm just saying it's a lot harder to get top dollar out of that car over one that's been tastefully modified with a v8.
Definitely a very nice clean car! I wish you luck! :)

that definatly sounds like the ultimate old lady car. it might actually be a 1969.5 model making it even more desierable. im not too good at valuing these myself but im thinking at the very least 6 grand

I hope that whoever buys it keeps it all original for sure. Not too many combo's around like that one (that I know of anyway).

I see what appears to be that someone helped themselves to the gas cap. :(

Good luck on the sale. If no one here jumps on it, I'd definitely ebay it.

That top should be listed in the post about "rarest parts" to find. I don't know if anyone makes those anymore. I have a feeling there's not much of a market out there for hounds tooth vinyl tops to fit our cars.

WOW! First other car I have seen with the same top as mine. My top is in bad condition though. Very cool!

Man, if you weren't so far away, and if I needed a third Maverick, I'd at least make an offer.

    Good luck on the sale.

I hope the new owner is either a member here or becomes one. I'd like to keep up with that one.
