1963 comet rear shock plate

    1963 comet convertible
    hello I have a 1963 comet convertible with a ford exployer 9 inch rear axle... what plates for the rear shocks would work on this 9 inch axle ..?? I need the staggered shock mounting,.. not sure what plates would work.. thanks

    '74 Maverick 302 5-Speed.'60 Falcon V8. '63.5 Falcon HT
    67-69 shock plates are close enough to work on 60-63 Falcon/Comet. The U-bolts will not ride snug to the 2" leaf because the 64-up leaf springs are 2.5". Still trying to figure out how you got staggered shocks on a 63. If this is a custom setup...some slapper traction bars have the extra ear to mount staggered shocks.
