I'm curious as to how my mav would do on the quarter mile.

    here are the specs:

    Fresh 351W stock
    Weiand intake manifold
    650 Holley 4 barrel
    MSD coil
    Electronic ignition - Pertronix II
    Fresh C4 with shift kit
3000 Stall Converter from Edge converters
    40 Series flowmaster
New stock suspension with KYB shocks
    No slicks
    No headers
    Elevation here is 3700 ft.

I was thinking low 14's, but not sure.

What gears do you have and what heads? Do you know your compression ratio?

My guess would be low 15's or high 14's.

I agree with olerodder. Good gears would probably get you in the 14's. A cam and headers probably low 14's, and slicks and traction bars high 13's. JMO:)

Thanks, what gears would you recommend? i was thinking 3.73 or 4.10 max?? i don't drive the car a lot, but if i do, i wouldn't want high rpm when going 65 mph.

I would think 3:50's would be enough, but it depends on the size of wheel/tire combo you have.
