"The quarter mile acceleration time of a car that weighs 2880 pounds and has 220 horsepower is 13.728 seconds. The speed is 99.3040749999929 mph. "

it could be close, since i never had real good traction and wasnt able to truly test it

my actual time was 14.220 at 96.95mph

I have one of the older versions of Desktop Dyno and to be the most accurate, it wants a .Cd(?) (coefficient of drag) number. I checked all my road tests of Mavericks from back in the 70's and apparantly that was not a common piece of data to publish back then. I have used Mustang and Camaro .Cd numbers which I'm sure are similar, but I wondered if anyone has ever had their .Cd measured or they have an article or piece of factory literature that included it. It would be interesting to know.

It looks to me to be wheel HP and its pretty darn close for me. MPH may be off by 1 for some and ET could be off a tenth. But not bad, I also did by buddys 2wd Dodge diesel @ 5800lbs 11.90@118= almost 700hp. Were thinking more like 650-670. But that calculator may not be able to compute having over 1100ftlbs of torque in a run.

My car ran 12.20s' at 110 mph with 3:30 gears and 320 hp out of a 306 with a 600 cfm carb and the wimpy 303 three speed.1.64 60 foot times. The calculator said it should run 11s' 11.70 something. I ran it on slicks once, it ran 11.92 at 111 something and ripped the shock mount off the floor pan. That was 20 years ago at LACR.Soo yeah it seems to be fairly accurate.

My car has been dyno'ed at 303 rwhp. Considering best case scenario with 15% loss through drive train, (manual) That would make it around 356 flywheel. I had it weighed on a certified CAT scale with me and a full tank of gas. That came in at 3240. Plugging in the numbers gives me a 12.16 @ 112mph. Thats definitely where my goal was when I built this car. However, with major traction problems, I have yet to cut better than a 2 second 60ft time and it spins tires in all 4 gears. Best I have run is a 12.98 @108. If I cared to address the traction problems, I think I could make it to those numbers.

    DEFINITELY!

without a doubt one of the fastest "true street" cars I have ever seen......traction is the only issue with the sprint....cause its got the power (y)

and its got a gear banging freak that will get too it!!!!

I think it is guesstimating BS. I could put my stock 2.79 rearend in Dennis' Sprint, (I'd have to drive it or he would tear the rear end out-8 incher) and it probably would have a hard time mustering a 14 sec. time.

So is there a formula that you can plug in with 1/8 mile times that estimates 1/4 mile time?
