I had the same thing happen on a 347/C4 model a p/u and we installed a catch can and ran a bigger cooler and it solved the problem.
It has a 351C 4V 4speed and a 9" with 5.13 gears so hopefully so when it goes back together it will do that.That is the goal anyway.
