clean the throttle body and iac dissconnect battery and do a relearn on pcm also check pcv valve for sticking poss iceing up from cold
check to see if carb is loose by twisting it mine was doing simular things found one bolt gone and the other one loose

red line is manifold vac green line is egr vac when pcm comands the soleniod it open egr check vac line at soleniod for cracks at rubber fittings
check dist plate and relector wheel roll pin under rotor i had one break the pin and the relector wheel move causing timing to change
are the brackets for small bumpers the same for comets and mavericks
