Great looking car. Really a nice job.
I used the Dorman stud from Autozone. I've always had good luck pulling them in with a nut on the threads. While using a press is the proper way,...
I got mine at the local parts store. It's a pretty common part and should be easy to find.
The Maverick exhaust manifolds for the 302 also fit the 351W. Of course they don't flow as well as headers, but at least they fit the car.
That car is not worth a grand. It's a rotted parts-car.
It should not be touching. The engine moves when it's running. Are you using Maverick-specific exhaust manifolds?
Interesting, considering that Richard Rawlings hates Mavericks. They had a green one with big bumpers a few years ago, and he had no interest in...
Sporty.
You must have cut a heck of a lot off those springs to make them do that.
Why would you wanna put wheels like that on a Maverick? They look like truck wheels. And why are you looking at metric stuff? These cars are not...
The Maverick/Comet is just the wrong kind of car for louvers. They look more appropriate on cars with large rear windows, and look just plain...
You need to shave the towers. The 351 is 1 inch taller and 2 inches wider than the 302, which is already a tight fit. I have a friend who has...
Get rid of the bumper guards, & while you're at it, get rid of the big bumpers & put some small ones on. :Welcome:
Good looking car.
I'd offer $400 and they can take it or leave it.
A '72 Maverick does not have a proportioning valve. It is possible that the pressure switch on the distribution block is leaking. I've seen that...
I like it. I'd get rid of the gaudy bumper guards, probably the chrome trim on the sides, and put a black steering wheel on it. I'd also black-out...
They look nice. My biggest question is, what's gonna cushion the impact when hitting bumps and things? Seems like there would be increased noise...
NOT.
And how much did that cost?
