Redline depends on balance and valve spring capability. It varies. Stock balance is suppose to be good to 6250.
Lucas is nice, helps get those last few thousand miles out, but if you're into performance, it will make the shift a bit smoother, no more barking...
Is yours beyond repair? Cheaper to fix than replace, and you'll want to tune a new carb to fit your requirements anyway, roughly the same money...
