Why don't my bulb holders stay stuck in my running lights?

It is almost like the twist-lock holes are melted or stripped.

I doubt they get that hot, and I doubt that the bulbs have been removed so many times that they have worn the plastic tabs down.

All my running lights pop out of the housings and just dangle behind.

Whats up with that?

Going to buy new housings all around.

Are they auto parts HELP items, or do i need to go through a mustang/maverick parts house?

 

Might could try some type of felt washers, may tighten them up enough to hold them.

 

maybe the gasket is missing or has flattened out over the years...

 

A little dab of rtv will fix you right up

 

Once that plastic gets hard , They don't have the flex around the housing web .

 

I was not aware there was a gasket or flexible material. That must be the problem.

New housings, then...

 

Also look for cracks between the tabs. That happens a lot with side marker lights.
