Anybody have Carfax?

    I'm thinking of buying another car (non Maverick). Does anyone use Carfax? Is it any good? Would anyone be willing to run one VIN for me?

    The car dealers that do have Carfax have to pay for it's use.

    yeah, but I thought it was like a monthly fee and unlimited use ..... could be wrong ........ but here is an idea:rolleyes:
    if you don't mind harrassing a salesman, find a car dealer that advertises the use of car fax on their trade ins, and take the vin to them ..... tell them you would like to see how the car you have found stacks up to one of their comparable used cars ....... I know when I sold cars, the small investment of a carfax run was worth the possibility of a sale ....... Robert

    Just go to their website. If you can't find it I think Auto Trader has a link to it on theirs. Cost about $25 for 30 days unlimited use if I remember right.
