Don't let Frank fool you. That Patches is a really nice car. Frank just can't bring himself to paint it because then it might seem done and he wouldn't know what to do with himself. That car has a nice interior and air, different suspension, etc. One of those that until you see it you can't appreciate it. Someone catch Franks head I think he is gonna topple over. :rofl2::biglaugh:

    Hi Lozanokaren18,

Just to let you know, most parts from any 2-door Maverick from 1970 to 1977 will fit your car.

Also, Comets from 1971 to 1977 were very much the same.

Many Pick Your Part - type junkyards may still have cars from this era.

Also, as already mentioned, many of the folks on this website are selling parts that you could use.

One thing you might want to do right away is pour a bucket of water into the two grilles that are behind the front hood and in front of the windshield. If you don't get any water inside the car (on the floor in front of the seats - under the dashboard) it means that the cowl vents are in good shape - not rusted out. That's a good sign. Many Southern California cars have this benefit.

Also, you could pull up the carpeting under the dash, you can look to see if the floorboards have rust. If they are rusty, it could be an indication of the cowl vents being rusted, and it might tell you if there is more rust in the unibody frame members in that area of the car.

Good luck with your car - in the photos, it looks like you have a solid car to build on.

    Regards,
    BaldEagleMav

you can get power steering from a ford Granada, you won't have to change your steering box, just your steering assembly, and have to add a power steering pump
