I like that design! Nice, simple, and very small. Most recently I used the ones with the two hooks at each end, and removed the loose hooks, and ran the screw up through the top spring hat (mustang II type suspension). I like the one with the screw and hooks inside the spring.
This is the only style I've ever used. Never had any problems. You just have to remove the tower braces.
