    Thanks,

I'm still running a stock intake. I have an Edelbrock Performer that I haven't put on yet due to clearance issues with my custom shock tower braces

Well, I have the engine in and I bolted on the intake. I dont have a hood at the moment. I'm really concerned that this thing will not clear the hood.

Anyone with a stock 5.0 H.O. intake let me know how much clearance you have from the top of the intake to the hood?

    Thanks,
    Micah

i was able to clear an explorer / mountianeer intake with a 1" phlonic spacer just fine. so 1/2 inch should be ok..

Thanks for the info. Any idea of the differences between your manifold and the H.O.? Would you mind posting a good picture of your set up. I did not see that set up in your gallery.

I called Edelbrock today to try and get some specs of their manifold and the stock H.O. All they can say is theirs was about 11" tall. They had no measurements for the stock manifold.

I'm going to try and get some measurements from the stock manifold and hope they have some similar reference points so that I can get a solid measurement of the differences.

The hood is still at the paint shop and I would like to be able to assemble everything with no fenders and hood. If I have to pull the manifold, it would be easier without them on.
