I was having trouble getting traction with some Nitto 555 drag radials but Thursday.I had 14 pounds into the rear tires when I come off the line the front wheels went in air about a foot.I know some of you may have experience this but this was my first time and it was a little scary.I'll get used to it.Now I know I take the front shocks off and it will hook.I work 3rd shift so its not many times I get to go to test n tune this about every 3 weeks .Our test and tune is going to be on Sunday afternoon instead of thrusday.Have a great day.

we had a Guy on here at one time that had that problem every time he left from a light on the street. I don't remember what he did to correct it.

Would it be too much traction, if the front end is lifting?

I had Nitto 555s 315s on my Mach I and I felt they were not up to the task. Now I have Kumho 335s and the car spins them silly as well...

Assuming the tires aren't frozen to the ground, one can never have too much traction...

I had Nitto 555's 295's on my Cobra Mustang and I liked my first set quite a bit. The second set...not so much.

I had to take my shocks off. It still has no traction on the street. It hook good at the track.

In cold weather Nittos will give far worse traction on the street than street tires... First time I went out in cold weather and stepped down on it, they broke loose so quick I thought the trans was slipping... They only hook when warm to hot...

You can when things start to break. Like the driveshaft, transmission, axles or the rear differential

Nope not too much traction, that's lack of quality drive line components...
