starting issues Solenoid

    Hope you guys can help me Solenoid kept clicking when I tried to start the maverick so I put on new one but it kept clicking so then I put battery on charge and it started but now it wont start with charger solenoid just keeps clicking could it be that battery is just bad

    The solenoid gets it's ground connection through it's mounting bracket/screws. Make sure they are clean and tight. On mine I added a wire from the battery (-) post to the bracket.

    Just because a battery appears to accept a charge doesn't mean it will pass a load test. I would pull it and have it tested, especially since you already replaced the solenoid.

    Could also be a bad cable or connection between the solenoid and starter, but most likely it's the battery. When you turn the headlights on with the key off are they nice and bright?

    try changing out the cables too.made a big difference for me. or clean off all your grounds too.

    Agreed... if it cranked after charging but not after setting a few hours battery is likely bad... Check voltage on battery terminals while cranking, should stay above 10v...
