I dont have a maverick yet, but plan on getting one in the future. Currently attempting to sell my home to build another since I have more land elsewhere. When all thats said and done I plan on looking harder. Not exactly sure the differences if any between the maverick, comet, and the years they were made just yet. I have seen mavericks every now and then...never knew what the car was, but always loved it. Will do more research when things settle down though. Any particular years, etc to stay away from or look for?

Also I plan on making the car a daily driver. My daily commute is roughly 8miles round trip since I ride in a vanpool to work. I have a 1921 t-bucket that me and my dad work out every now and then with a big block. No need to go crazy with a motor in a maverick, but if I had too I do have an uncle with a 427 sitting on an engine stand :) I wouldnt drag the car ever...just have a nicer "rumble"

:Welcome: get yourself a comet theyre way cooler.

the difference is the maverick has the dull flat hood with no style unless you get a grabber hoiod that is slightly raised in the center and has a snake nose hole on the sides that hood is pretty cool but the grill sucks the tail lights are flat and plain
then theres the cooler one the comet. the grill is shaped to stick out and the hood is raised and sticks out in the center to match the grill (check my pics) and the tail lights are raised and has two tail lights per side instead of one flat light on each side and almost forgot teh front bumper sticks out to match the hood and grill:cool: otherwise the shell is the same car dsc02384_original.jpg dsc02377_original.jpg
