Trying to get my car repainted, I hope I'm done with the white paint finally... painting white over grey primer is a pain, the primer always wants to show through. After I wet sand I'll see if I'm ready for step two, black on the bottom half... Also does anyone have a rear driver side marker they are willing to part with? thanks.
Hey Matt, I talked to Mark again and a few guys from Class Racer. Looks like the project is on hold for a while. It will be real hard to get the car more than a .1 under the index. I'll wait and see what the NHRA does. On a good note, the headers I bought will fit my Mustang so I think I will give them a try. Are you going to be at SIR on the 7th?
Being .1 under index is definitely not fun with the wind and temperature changes at some of the tracks. I think you could get some HP taken off if you submit the request online. The only ones running aren't real fast so nhra should reduce it. And yes I am planning on being in Tucson on the 7th. Are you coming down again?
I'll be there for sure. Hope it doesnt rain! And yes I am planning on being in Tucson on the 7th. Are you coming down again?[/QUOTE]
We will see you there. It look like we might need to bring our boats though Don't give up on the stocker just yet. They still have the maverick rated at 143 and the number one qualifier at Indy was still at the low horsepower. Who knows if they will ever change it back.
You guys miss me yet? Im about ready for it to cool off so I can get the Maverick out on the road again. If it was just me Id be driving it to the car show on saturdays, but I cant go without my boy so we take the mustang with A/C.
hey its not that big. The Mustang leaks just as much. And they both have the expansive one piece Fel Pro oil pan gasket. Coincedence? Im convinced that those are garbage and will be using the old cork and silicone method going forward.
Yeah, I've done the silicone thing with my oil pan gasket and it doesn't leak at all. Makes it tough to get off though! Say, did you know that on the first Saturday of every month there is a classic car cruise in at the Brass Armadillo on McDowell between Litchfield and Dysart? I was going to go last time but we had all that rain.
