About to install a new speedo cable on my 72 Mav and I'm wondering if it hooks up directly to the cluster or the fitting that's about 6-8" before the cluster, any advice on the install would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I had my cluster pulled slightly and reached in thru the ashtray hole. You may b\could do it without pulling the cluster.
