Finished my hinges, added 2 inches to the end of them and relocated the location of the ball stud for the strut..... View attachment 61337 View attachment 61338 View attachment 61339 View attachment 61340
I can't believe I missed this thread. Looks good Dave, I like how simple it is. How much clearance do you have between the shock tower and strut with the hood shut?
Nick, I guess I dont quite understand the question, but, there is tons of room all around the strut when in its down position, no interference problems at all, and when fully raised the hole for the original prop rod is allmost 5 inches above the stock position, so bonking the head on that latch is a thing of the past(for me)
Not sure where you got the bracket for the cylinder you mounted on the strut tower but John Deere would be a good source. There is a bracket for the back window of their 30,50,50 and 60 series row crop tractors that looks a lot like it. edit....might not be that great, part number is R50734 and my local dealer shows it at $16.69!!!!bs:
Made that from a piece of angle iron, bent the one side to allow for the movement of the strut. It might be a bit heavier duty than the one you are thinking of. Didnt want anything breaking loose.
