How hard is it to change my 70 to a larger transmission tunnel.
Is a 71 tunnel bigger than my 70?
    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks Dave.
How hard do you think it would be to graft a 71 tunnel on my 70?
Reason I am asking is because when they mod'd my tunnel when they put in the
351W/Powerglide they really did a number on the huge hole, and I thought it may be easier to try and graft a complete tunnel rather than try and fab something.
    Thanks, Johh

If you drill out the spot welds at the front of the 70 tunnel down to the floor on either side, the 71 tunnel fits right back to the very same location. The tunnel I used was cut to short to the floor so I had to add metal to make it meet the floor again and then picked a spot to blend it in back to the 70's driveshaft tunnel.

That look simple. I though I would have to go higher into the firewall. Already have the oversized donor panel.
