72'valve body in a74 transmission

I found out that my spare valve body was made back in 72, would it work in a 74' C4 transmission?

 

I am not 100% certain, but I am near enough to 100% to say that I'd sure try it. My 77 model C4 has a much older valve body.

 

As long as they are both C4 models, I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

I bought a stock valve body from Frank or someone on here, and he never asked me "what year is yours?" before selling it to me.

It fit.

 

i know their is a change it think it happened in 69 so this should be fine.
