    ok so i got it in and it is sits to far up i got some pics. i think its bc it came out of a truck and my buddy keeps telling me its fine

    Looks like your using the wrong fan spacer.

    Agreed...

    All 289/302/5.0 block's are all the same as far motor mount bosses, if it's too high you have the wrong mounts...

    we have the hood on it now and it dose not hit it so thats good

    Yeah, looks like you just need a shorter fan spacer. Shouldn't be too hard to come by. Or are you saying it looks like it sits too high in the engine compartment?

    A machine shop could even shorten the spacer you have now.
