I'm getting ready to order the disc brake swap from csrp and I was wondering 7f anyone had done this swap with the factory slot mags. I really want to get the discs on because my drums need some work and I don't want to throw good money at bad parts. I cant really afford new whels and tires and the disc brakes atm, its either or. So if I need to get bigger wheels I need to know in advance. sorry if this is a little incoherent, hurt my neck and im a bit drugged up this weekend.
You can always get the brakes from www.DiscBrakeSwap.com and KNOW they will fit. The only problem you may run into is that the center hole in your wheel will need to be enlarged in order to fit over the hub.
thats where im looking to get the kit from. thanks for the replies, I'm feeling good about ordering from them then if thats the worst to worry about.
Yea, I got a mail from Dennis at CSRP suggesting the swap.2.4/M which is a reproduction of the factory option disc brakes for 74. Just waiting on my next paycheck to call him up and order them. Super thrilled to be finally doing this.
It's the name of their company... jeez people a ton of us have their kits and the name of the company isn't common knowledge? It stands for Classic Services Restoration Parts. It's the banner on their website as well.
Who has their kits? If someone had one, I'd know who they were...better get yourself a new set of wheels if you go with those brakes...why go with such old stuff? Upgrade to something newer...
