    Anyone?

    Anyone know of anyone?

If so, what headers did they use?

    5.0 or 302 with C4 transmission.

Not 351, Cleveland, AOD, LS, etc.

Frank started out with a 347 and C4. He used all the headers that Summit had to offer except one set.

I was really hoping to be able to just drop in a header when I was done. I am getting to old to have to lift the engine, jack up the car, and put them in from underneath.

Frank and I didn't move the engine when we put the header's on...they slid right in place.

Which headers? And would they clear a C4 on 5.0?

"sliding right into place" is EXACTLY what I want!!!

I want to start a new hobby.

    It is called "cruising".

This working on cars and having them sit in the garage not driveable is killing me.

    "Small stuff"????

These are HUGE headers, which is why they won't work.

So I have a little different scenario, I have a 5.0 and an AOD. I spent the money and bought my headers from Ford Motorsports. They fit perfect!

The biggest reason I went that way was that I have the GT40P heads, and getting headers for them isn't really easy. They have P specific headers. They dropped right in place, no clearance issues at all. They are listed for a 5.0 Mustang in their catalog.

    I don't "really want headers".

I "really want" a car I can cruise in. Ticks me off that I put all this money into a new rack and pinion Mustang II conversion and my parts don't work with it.

At this point, shorties or stock manifolds are not that much of a problem for me. It will run better on stock manifolds than it will on anything else I have thrown at it at this point.

Maybe some Mustang K-code style manifolds would be a good compromise.

It's all in research...you need to know what your getting into, before you jump....
I'm sure Doug Thorleys would fit, but they aren't cheap.....

Have you checked to see what guys are using with a mustang 2 swap in an early mustang? I'm sure you could find at least a few that put 302's in them and used headers.

There are loads of 5.0L Mustang shorties that should fit, and they are somewhat inexpensive...going to manifolds woul be a step backwards...all this to make the car better, then stock manifolds....yuck.
Crap, if you were closer, I have a set of Ranger V8 swap headers hanging in the shed, that would probably work, and I'd give them to you.
