Top Ball Joints

    I am replacing the top ball joints on the Maverick and went down to my local parts store and they had them...............I bring them home and they only have 3 bolt holes where the ones on the car are 4 bolts..........................did I miss something.

    The very early 1970 model had 4 bolts. Moog part # was K8036 I believe. All the pre 70 Mustangs took the same 4 bolt ball joint.

    I do know that a 69 Mustang had 3 and the 70 Mustang had 4. My 69 Mach I...had one of both from the factory.

    I did the same thing. Had to take them back and get the ones with 4 bolts

    Thanks Mavaholic for your help, I really appreciate it and thanks to everyone for your help.

    The Moog K8036 is the one I needed..................swapped them and actually got money back................................

    just a warning: It's hard to get the grease gun on them once they're installed. I wish I had pre-greased mine or used a different fitting than what came with it
