help needed.

    Could anyone tell me if my 72 maverick used a fuel tank vent originally? Hope that I can just plugging the vent hole in the new tank. Also wondering which way I should install the new filler neck grommet into the tank. Tapered lip in or out of the tank? Thanks for any help!:)

    I think they vented to the charcoal canister up near the engine. Is there a steel tube running up the right side into a coffee-can-looking doohicky in the engine bay?

    If so, that is the vent.
