Dizzy vacuum ?

    I have a old points dizzy with pertronix... Do I use the timed vacuum port or the manifold vacuum port on the edelbrock carb ?

    I have always used a ported line off the carb, meaning a port that didn't open until about 1000 RPM's.

    Everybody seems to say run the ported line but my car ran a lot better with manifold vacuum hooked up. When I had it on ported it always seemed sluggish out the hole. Did the same thing on my roomate's mom's jeep J4000 I'm working on.:huh: Edit just found this so unless you have emissions hook it to manifold
