great to be herei was wondering if any one has swaped a5.0 efi out of an 89 linc mark into a 1977 ford mave with a200 i6 i also am planing on using aod trans, if so what am i in for
Alot of work...Welcome from Panama City, Florida.... ya gotta have the parts to do the swap, V8 mounts and frame stands, belly bar (crossmember) and some other parts, Frank (71gold) I believe makes and sells a tranny mount that will work for the AOD swap, if you are planning on keeping the EFI there are some others on here that can direct you.
from Atlantic Canada. The "Search" function will be your friend! Lots of reading material here to give you direction on what to look for, where to go, and yes even pick up some parts. Good Luck!
A LSC EFI harness is a major bitch to work with as it also has the air suspension and ABS integrated in it... BTW the LSC AOD is longer than the std passenger car versions that are same as a C4, also I doubt the wimpy rear used with the 200 will live behind a 5.0... The LSC 8.8 could be modified to work, but axles are probably 3" longer on each side...
The 77 Maverick rear end will hold up well to the Lincoln’s 5.0. The 6 cylinder and V8 got the same rear end after '73
