tell me about it i managed to get a full gauge cluster off of ebay for 15$ but the shipping was 30$ it was crazy, but sometimes you can get pretty good deals on ebay..... during the summer i went to the drag strip and we found a guy running a 1970 maverick grabber with a 300 strait 6 c4 automatic, the guy made his own intake manifold with 6 Weber carbs so it was mechanical fuel injection the car was popping wheelies and did the quarter mile in 10 seconds :yahoo: i bought all the parts he didnt use.. for some reason the forum isnt letting me post pictures and the amount of data i can send through a post is full but if you go in the internet and search the mad frenchmen maverick you can see it. the guy gave me a good deal on parts too he was surprised that i knew soo much about cars and that i paid him the second he gave me a price. i guess its because i am 15? lol:comet:

You need 10 posts to be allowed to add pictures unless you can link to them from another source. :)

I believe we have had discussions here on the forum about the Mad Frenchman's car due to it having a 300 engine in it - not easy to put that long truck engine in a Maverick - it is great to hear about 15 year olds wanting to be interested in older cars these days :thumbs2:

There has been a lot of talk about front spoilers over the years - just use the "search" feature and you can go back and read about any subject that we have had on the forum :)

my maverick has a 250 inline 6 it smokes alittle because i believe it needs valve stem seals but i am planning to put a 302 and a t-5 5 speed tranny so i can drive it to school. but thanks when i talk about cars in school there arent many kids that know what i am talking about.. and the kids that do are into hondas, its not a bad thing but i love american muscle and especially fords my dad has two 68 mustangs

its amazing i went to Carlisle swap meet and the only things i got where emblems and 1967 cougar lights because i wanted to make it look like a shelby in the back but i couldent bring myself to cut the tail light panel so i ended up getting standard maverick tail lights. we go to bear mountain car show everyone asks me what kind of car i am building in a joking kind of way and i tell them i am building a maverick and they say oh my mom had a maverick or wow a maverick was my first car. alot of people had mavericks but now there so rare, you go to carshows and you see all these rare super cars but not one maverick, and when i turn on the history channel and see top gear turning a maverick into a monster truck and then when it breaks down almost crush it kills me inside i posted pictures of the before and after of the top gear maverick

I find this at all car shows - it seems that everyone had one at some time in their lives but very few saved them at that time so they went to the crushers as nothing more than scrap steel
