where do trans wires go

    i putting a i6 and c4 in my 1970 maverick it originaly had same motor trans combo but when i got it there was no motor in it or trans now i have the new motor and trans and i have saftey switch wires and back up light wires from trans but i see no where that they would plug into anything there is no extra wires anywhere?

    Floor or Column shift? Floor shift transmissions used a safety switch mounted to the transmission, and column shift cars have it at the bottom of the steering column.

    column shift but motor come from 65 falcon so it could have had floor shift in the falcon

    the column shift has those circuits in the bottom of the steering column. you dont need the wires on the trans.
