Tim, came up as a surprised to me as I did to him Monday at his house. we also addressed some issues on his Mav.
we all went down to Harolds shop and with Harold and Buddys help we delt with all the issues.
had lunch and around 4:00PM everyone headed home...

...wiring, exhaust system , exhaust manifolds, brake job and a lifter ticking noise...

You have way too much fun... It was like -3 here today and cold... I was stripping the 4 door. All the excitement I got was a guy stopping to tell me about a 1958 mustang he had... Yes 1958... The engine was a 200+CID engine that was stroked to 302.. If you were closer I woulda sent him your way. :rofl2:

Late lunches like that... The wife won't keep cooking you dinners!

Had a great time. Good seeing Tim and Earl again. We got all my issues fixed. My Mav is stopping smooth since we turned the rotors…no more annoying steering wheel shake. No more random engine dying with the coil’s 12v coming from a different supply. Glad we didn’t have to cut into any wires. The new muffler sounds better than the muffler that exploded when I lost ignition at 80 mph couple months ago.

Had a great time as always. We saved a 90' rubber boot, salvaged an original set of exhaust manifolds, stopped a lifter tick and found a door panel for a 02 F-350 ..... who-da thunk it ????? (y)

Had a great time, as usual. Nothing better than good friends, neat cars and a productive day.

I had that happen when my Duraspark module went south. Split the seam the entire length of the muffler! Scared the guy next to me so bad, he almost wrecked! Scared me so bad, I almost needed a change of pants!!! :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

I thought it could have been my Duraspark so I replaced it with a new distributor with Pertronix II. Frank was about 1/8 mile in front of me and he swerved. Earl was behind me and he said a 4 foot long flames came out of both tail pipes. I almost needed to change my drawers too. I did have the Duraspark wired to the emission wiring next to the engine harness connector. It’s hard to chase a electrical problem if it’s working 99% of the time.
