I am in need of replacing the spring bushings and just wondered for those of you who have replaced them if they are 1 piece or 2 piece and where you can get them...............................Poly would be also be an option. Thanks
The rear ones at the shackles are two pieces. One piece up front, pressed in. My front one is a solid aluminum piece that came with the Cal-trac setup. The rear ones I replaced with AutoKrafter's rubber replacements. I would assume Poly replacements would be easy to find. Should be the same as any early mustang. http://autokrafters.com/c-699-bushings.aspx
Mustangs are a fatter bushing - they don't fit. The metal parts of the shakle are the same, but not the rubber.
Thanks guys, I wasn't so much worried about the rear shackle bushings but more about the front spring eye bushing............on one side part of the rubber is mostly gone.......................
Ah! Thanks for clearing that up for me. I would have gotten mine from the local mustang house next time I needed a set. I know better now.
i would get the dimension of the bushings you need and check with energy suspension. they do have bushings available by dimension. they list allot of them in their catalog.
