If you would like i can give you an exact cost tomorrow on the valve, my dealership cost will be the same as all the others, my dealership MARK UP will be different. I'm willing to bet my dealership can buy that valve for 12 bucks.

If you can get them for 12 bucks, get me 2, with shipping it'll still be cheaper than I can buy one for here. Let me. :thumbs2:

I was wrong, the valve cannot be bought for 12 or 15 dollars, the cost tro every Ford dealership in the US for part # E7DZ - 9B593 - A is $28.15. There is no way that part can be bought for less at any Ford dealership in the US.

Dont feel bad, i honestly was expecting to see the cost be between 12 and 15, depending on the parts manager, he decides the final mark up on the parts, i've seen some mark ups that make me sick, just being honest about it.

I dont mind a small mark up either, but i have seen parts marked up ten fold, thats where i start to have a problem with it, the main reason people go aftermarket most of the time is because dealership prices have been marked up way to high.

No, it's called greed. I find it annoying when people use the term "capitalism" synonymously with greed.

Capitalism sure beats the hell out of communism.

Coming from a guy that owns 2 Harleys...even though they are old, I'm sure you've bought a new shirt or two....but I'd like to say thanks, since I'm a shareholder in the company :D

Tried Planet Ford in Houston but their parts guy said Ford doesn't sell any parts older than 1980 anymore.

Found one in N.Dakota for $28.94. Seems these are hard to find. They did not know anything about a grommet. Apparently Ford won't list parts older than 1980 and most dealers are too lazy to look them up on microfiche.
