I bought a 77 Maverick gas tank but there is an extrea hole on the bottom of the tank where I assume some kind of vapor valve goes. Where can I get a new one of these?

I paid around $12-$15 for both the valve and grommet from the Ford Dealer. :hmmm:

I just called the dealer I deal with @ $40 for the valve, so not far off.

My Ford Dealer didn't have it in stock. The Dealer in Macon did so Frank bought it at the Macon Ford Dealer and sold it to me when he made a trip to Summit Racing to buy something. I gave him the money and he gave me the parts and the recipt. We then went to Baby Jane's and ate lunch and I paid for his lunch. I should have the recipt somewhere along with the paper work I got when I bought my Maverick but its not where it should be. I will look some more and scan the recipt for you...if I can find it.

Not taking anyones side, just a real quick tid-bit on Ford DEALERS pricing, just because someone bought a part for $50 at a Ford DEALERSHIP, dosent at all mean that someone else may go to a different Ford DEALERSHIP and pay less for the same part. You have to know the system and the inner workings of what takes place.

It's totally feasible that someone paid 12 dollars for the valve that you paid 50 for, it's called Ford DEALERSHIP MARK UP. Someone may have bought the same valve at COST, and to me this sounds like the case here.
