i have a 72-302 mav. and the turn signals work but the pass. side is dimmer than the driver side. when i turn on my lights the pass.side turn signal in the gauge cluster comes on. i've changed out the bulb no luck and i've checked the ground wire up front still the same. is there something else to look for? thanks russell

look for some new wire. trace the wires back to where they go and snip then follow it back snip and replace. most likely the wire is so old and corroded inside that its losing voltage along the way or the light sockets might be corroded. the sockets can be replaced easily

Biggruss, I just dealt with this on my 74. I have a feeling this is a common problem with our cars. I've repaired both the left and right front turn signal wiring. And, both times the problem was in the wiring between the connector at the steering column and the engine side of the firewall where the wire passes through the "rubber insulator". Not sure this makes sense but it was the same issue for both turn signals.

i ran a ground jumper wire from the body to the pass. side turn signal and that fixed it.now when i pull the motor ( it's knocking:cry:) i'll go through the wiring and see if i can find the where the problem is. thanks biggruss
