    Both looks good to me. I have gave up on this task. I guess it would be a good time to start again, maybe it will work now. I may have a little more no how now. LOL

    Mustangproject.com has LED's for a Comet $159. But I like the way you shaped them to match the lens...

    I have 1970 Ohio tags on my car which is legal here as long as you have your vintage plate in your car.

    in that pic you said it was some kind of defuser from home depot and a red lens. Could you elaborate on what you did to make the lens?

    There is no diffuser in that picture. You can clearly see the oval light through the lens which is just made out of red transparent plexiglass. The diffuser material I tried was just a plastic panel that would normally be used in a lighting fixture in a drop ceiling. I'm hoping with the tail light I'm trying to make now, I wont need any diffuser.
