    There is racing at Speedworld this weekend. I will be on the motorcycle on the other side of Tucson on Saturday and going to the mountains on Sunday for a few days of fishing. :)

    Thanks Don, sorry you won't be around. My wife will be attending classes at UofP for her Doctorate and we will be staying with her daughter and boy friend in Litchfield Park. He has a couple of Jet Dragsters and although the season is over for him I may venture out to the drag strip.

    Thanks Gene, I will try and get out to the strip and would love to see you race.

    Cruise Down Central at Park Central Mall, 3110 N Central Ave Phoenix, Az. Pretty big car show. Lots of different cars, muscle, hot rods, and classics. Spectating is free

    Yep Cruise on Central will be awesome,were taking our sk8boards n my dads harley dyna,so we can cover more ground,really cool event.Buddy Rice (indy driver )ALLWAYS has a grudge match race against his dad there & they got alot of cool cars,n Bud(his Dad)is a riot!so GO!

    I will be at the drags after dropping my wife off at school at 8:00am.
    I will get on the 10 from Broadway, is there a fairly direct way to get to Surprise?

    Easiest way is to take Grand Ave (US60) off of the I-17 and head northwest all the way to speedworld. Its not quite a freeway but its the most direct route without taking the freeways the longer way which will still require alot of surface streets anyways.

    Well...............only made it to the drags at SpeedWorld today, just ran out of time for the car show.
    I will post pictures on the drag section. Meet Gene, what a great guy, and some other "gray hairs" and just had fun watching the cars and visiting with Gene. He made it through 4 rounds or 3 rounds of elemination before he got bumped out. His fastest time was 15.15 which he said was his personal best.
    A great time was had by all!
