    The original spare was a bias ply tire. Sorry, that's not it! I've had that happen a few times over the years. When it blows and you're driving the car, it's quite a thrill!!! :rofl2:

    Ex wives can be worse, coming out of the courthouse with my girlfriend after my divorce was finalized, my ex and her mother almost ran me down in the road right there in front of the courthouse! missed me by inches :dancing: good thing I was still kind of fleet footed.

    I saw the consequence of a blown tire stored inside of a station wagon back in 1988, in GTMO. Heat build up with windows closed for weeks. Incredible damage; headliner/seats - torn up, including the seat cushions!
