    does using a transmission oil pan that has an extra 1qt capacity really help lower fluid temps?

    I think you can use a stock filter.....................at least on my Street Fighter PA trans with deep pan it used the stock filter.............................but I would check with PA since they made the pan, or call Summit...............IMHO

    I went ahead and got a deep transmission pan filter just in case.

    You can get a filter for a V8 Mustang II. They had deep pans on them from the factory.

    If you get the B&M pan it comes with a filter extension and an actual filter(not just a screen)..... They are a little more expensive then the others but well worth it.....

    I have a 1970 Maverick with a 200 and c4 all stock.
    How can i find out if i have a regular trans pan or a narrow pan?
    I ask because im going to change my trans filter and apparently their are 2 types of filters.

    I've never heard of a...narrow pan...just pan fill and case fill.

    think he means shallow or deep pan. a stock c4 should have a shallow pan
