So Im poking around my car today. Now Im sad. I think my maverick is turning into mulch. Im not sure what its called but the driver side heavy front section that maybe you would put a jack under is turning to mulch. Rotten it seems. The front part of the drivers side floor board by the head light switch is shot with metal plates screwed in tio keep it together, Drives floor has another large plate. Rear quarters are shot with another piece pop riveted in place and bondo over the top on both sides. in front of the rear wheels have a hole, One wheel well has a Quartter sized hole. Rear wheel well edges have small rust holes. The front lip of the hood has some holes. and the front aprons under the battery and on the other side has rust. Where the sections under the hood come together near the shock tower things has rust at the seems. Do you think its too far gone? Im kinda thinking so. Guess I shouldnt have checked it out at night. lol. But due to work schedual I had no choice. To think I traded my motorcycle for this. :(

its only too far gone if you decide not to fix it. go check out the brazillian maverick rebuild post he did tons of work on his car. its only up to you. and the amount of money and skills you have. I even seen an article here where a guy cut eh roof off of his car and put on a new one. I personally never thought of anyone actually cutting the hole roof off for repairs

I found another 73 on craigslist that (maybe) only needs behind the rear wheels. Going to look at it tomorrow.
