Was just wondering. There's usually some big car shows either around here or in Canfield, OH. Would love to be able to come to a gathering and meet some of you guys! :yup:

Yep....the MCCI Roundup Nationals were held in Ohio the first 7 years. A couple of years in Xenia, and then 5 years in Columbus.

The MCCI has also had Regional Mini-Meets in Norwalk, Ohio for several years at the dragstrip in conjunction with Fun Ford Weekend when that event was held there. I made many trips to that one.

The MCCI would love to be back in that area for an event. It just takes sombody to host it. If anybody is interested, just contact us. :thumbs2:

You find a place, you invite some people, and you have fun.

Now my next question: Would anyone WANT to come to a meet in Cleveland? :hmmm:

After all, Ford's engine plant is just a couple miles from my place! :thumbs2:

Well then, I might just have to put something "in the books", so to speak! I'll do some searching for a place to have it and maybe sometime in the late spring or early summer of next year we can get something cooking! I'll keep you all updated! :thumbs2:

The key is to plan it early, so people can make plans to be there. Don't do what I do and give everybody a month notice. :D

Ok will do! (y) I was figuring at least 4 months notice lol! Where are some of the best places to have one of these gatherings? Restaurants? Giant parking lots?

In my opinion, the best place for a Mini-Meet is an All Ford Car Show. More likely to run into other Maverick enthusiasts there.

Would having one in the parking lot of a Good-Guys show be a good location? Lol.....

There is a decent sized parking lot car "show" here in Brunswick Oh every Sat afternoon. Gotta be around 75-100 cars most of the time. Goes from about 4 till dark. There is sometimes a DJ. The parking lot has Big Lots, a pizza joint, McDs, Mr Hero, and some small greasy spoon.
